Welcome to the August edition of Mountainfreak.net. Summertime is in full swing in the north Georgia mountains and it's a great time to find some elevation and cool off. We've been spending a good bit of time in the mountains for the site and have really been enjoying ourselves.
We spent a few days in and around Helen and have a lot to bring you..from Jordano's on the River to waaay back in the Chattahoochee National Forest at Horsetrough Falls. We did a little flea market shopping, go karting, music watching and even ventured into North Carolina to get a little something for our new Moutainfreak Borders page.
We've been getting great cooperation from musicians and music venues in the mountains and I think it shows on the Mountainfreak Music page this month-we have a long list of live music playing from Lafayette to Clayton and many points in between. Get out and support live music in the north Georgia mountains if you get the chance-it keeps getting better and better.
I want to thank the folks who sent in articles and photos, advice and constructive crticism this month-we really appreciate it and couldn't do it without you!
